Leader in Training (LIT) Program

Welcome to LIT 2026!

WHO IS IT FOR?

This program is for anyone who is ready to let God use them to do amazing things at Pleasantview this summer! We are looking for passionate people who care about kids, are team orientated, willing to stay up late, get up early, and use their gifts to share their faith. It is at camp that future LITs (that’s you!) will find community, grow in their walk with God, and develop new skills. If a summer filled with long lasting friendships made through camp ministry  sounds exciting … then this is the place for you!

Applicants must be at least 15 and going into grade 10 in 2026.

WHAT IS LIT ABOUT?

This is a discipleship program that will challenge you and help you discover what it means to follow Jesus and how to use your gifts to serve others. You will grow and develop through Bible studies, team building, training sessions, service opportunities, and awesome community. LIT is about growing closer to God and learning how to share the gospel with others, while also getting to have fun and make long lasting friendships.

WHEN DOES IT RUN?

If you would like to participate in this program, you must be willing to dedicate at least four weeks of your summer to camp.
The four weeks will include:
  • Staff Training: June 28 @ 2:30 p.m. - July 3 @ 7:00 p.m.
  • LIT Week 1: July 12 - 17, 2025
  • LIT Week 2: July 19 - 24, 2025
  • At least one of the following:
    • Preteen 2 - July 26 - July 31, 2026
    • Primary - August 3 - 7, 2026
    • Junior High 2 - August 9 - 14, 2026
Please note that staff training is mandatory.
The two LIT weeks are specifically dedicated to studying God’s Word and learning about Camp Ministry. The one or more weeks spent at camp following LIT training will give participants the opportunity to be in a cabin under the leadership of a senior cabin leader
